2. What data we collect and why
Contact form. When you send us a message through our website, we collect your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message. We use this data only to answer your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange your stay, a tasting or a tour. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible reservation, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
Email, phone and messaging apps. If you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp, Viber or Instagram, we receive the details you share with us (such as your name, phone number or username and your message) and use them only to communicate with you about your request.
Reservations. Bookings made through Booking.com are processed by Booking.com under its own privacy policy. We receive the reservation details needed to host you.
Technical data. When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages visited, for security and to keep the website running.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
3. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you:
- Hostinger — website hosting and our email service (info@chateauorman.com).
- Google — our email inbox, and the map and fonts displayed on the website.
- Booking.com — if you make a reservation through them.
- WhatsApp, Viber and Instagram (Meta) — only if you choose to contact us through these apps.
Some of these providers may process data outside North Macedonia. Where this happens, they apply safeguards required by data protection law. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
4. Cookies and third-party content
Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to work. Pages that show the Google Map, and the Google Fonts used on the site, load content directly from Google, which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. The WhatsApp, Viber, Instagram, Facebook and Booking.com buttons are simple links — no data is sent to these services until you click them.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep messages from the contact form and email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or stay, and then for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, for accounting or guest registration records).
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@chateauorman.com. We will reply within the time limits set by law.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia (azlp.mk).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.
